A friend passed on her tube (only the tiniest smudge required to soothe sore boobs) and gave me the gold advice to use it from the first feed ie prevention rather than cure! I never got sore boobs whilst breastfeeding and still going strong at 7mths. Another thing that helped me with breastfeeding was doing an ABA course (3-4hrs) BEFORE baby arrived. I knew about good vs bad attachment etc and just as well as bub arrived a month early so I was glad to be prepared.
