An absolute favourite with us at the moment is “Dear Zoo” by Rod Campbell which we read every day. And baby will often seek out “That’s not my Monkey” or “That’s not my Pirate” from the bookshelf.

We love a lot of the books mentioned in comments too! A Christmas gift from a wonderful friend was ‘Mr Magnolia’ by Quentin Blake (who was the illustrator for all the Roald Dahl books). It’s awesome! So fun to read and a kick for the grownups, as well as having great rhythm and rhyme patterns for the tiny one.
We also read ‘Hooray for Fish’ by Lucy Cousins (who writes the Maisy books) every.single.day!

We love “Spot the Dog” books too. They’re just classics and very chewable

We love “Each Peach Pear Plum” and “That’s Not My Tractor”, though most times the best bit is eating the corner of the book!

The ‘Spot the Dog’ series is the favourite for my baby girl. She especially likes the ‘Where’s Spot” 30th Anniversary Board Book. The ‘Spot the Dog’ books are classics and are available as buggy books.

“The Very Hungry Caterpillar” is my baby’s favourite. He enjoys “Diary of a Wombat” by Jackie French and “Hairy Maclary from Donaldson’s Dairy” by Lynley Dodd too.
